Medical Mutual will feature three of our valued nonprofit partners every month for our employees and the community-at-large. We want to make it easy to find meaningful volunteer opportunities and encourage your friends and family to join you. Giving Tuesday 2019
Volunteer and care for the homeless animals at the shelter by becoming a dog walker. Help the dogs become more socialized, become better walkers, and ultimately provide love and companionship before finding their future homes.
Impact the community by helping provide books to low-income families. Re-stock the book-sharing kiosks called little free libraries throughout Cleveland neighborhoods, help sort books so that they may be placed in the hands of children that need them, or help deliver a box of books to the Kids Book Bank’s partner organizations.
Service those individuals with developmental disabilities through different volunteer opportunities.
Help provide opportunities for at-risk, in crisis, or incarcerated individuals so that they may live self-sufficient lives of faith, productivity, and excellence. Volunteer through multiple different avenues including front desk support, after school help, meal provider, fun leader, or library services.
Join the community to give, advocate and volunteer to advance education, income and health to create a better Greater Cleveland.

Impact a life by volunteering to repackage incoming donations or prepare hot meals and bagged lunches that are distributed at hot meal sites and youth centers.
Make a child’s holiday bright and merry through volunteering to set-up various stations for the holiday program and then help with clean-up after the event ends. Provide support to young adults who leave foster care by becoming a young adult mentor to show that they are supported and cared for.

Opportunities are available for individuals looking to volunteer throughout the year. Join the Foodbank’s CORE Young Professionals Group or visit their website to see daily volunteer projects.
Provide support by assisting the Intake & Assessment staff with individual and family needs, or provide online emotional support to individuals depressed or in despair.
Choose from a variety of volunteer opportunities available for those looking to strengthen the community and families. Participate in done in a day projects, weekday volunteer needs, visit residential homes, or be a buddy for a Horvitz YouthAbility Ambassador.

Make a difference in a child’s life by providing support to the childcare staff through direct work with the children. Learn about the organization and the services offered by volunteering for a done-in-a-day, campus project with co-workers and friends.
Touch the lives of those individuals with disabilities in a variety of ways. Volunteer to improve the landscape, participate in summer camp outings, help with the Night in Paradise Fundraiser, or lend a hand with day-to-day activities. Volunteers in different areas are constantly needed and always appreciated.

Touch the lives of children facing adversity by providing in school mentoring and support for elementary school children.
Make a difference in the lives of children by volunteering to be a youth golf coach and mentor. Impact these children to become the very best they can be by instilling positive characteristic traits, including honesty, integrity, and respect.
Explore different volunteer opportunities to clean the environment. Learn to plant, care, and maintain trees. Participate in a day of cleaning trails and removing invasive species. Choose form multiple volunteer activities including one of the annual MS walks in Ohio. Volunteer opportunities for “Walk MS” range from event photographers, to committee members, and a wide variety of event day activities.
Volunteer for the 17th Annual Walk, Rock & Roll. This family-friendly community event features a 1 & 3-mile walk, a chip-timed 5K run, as well as free food, live entertainment, kids’ activities, Mitchell’s Homemade Ice Cream, and more! Volunteer to help with various event day duties.

People with developmental disabilities enjoy a wide variety of activities and transportation can be a barrier to getting out and having fun. Provide a ride and companionship to individuals once a month for 2-3 hours. Choose an individual based on the activities you enjoy.
Lend a hand to those in crisis. Provide and prep meals, assist children with homework or sort and distribute donated clothing.
Provide comfort to someone as part of their end-of-life care. A variety of volunteer opportunities are available which include providing haircuts, visiting with your therapy pet and leading a group volunteer project.
