Giving Tuesday 2019
Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter provides humane canine care and control, reunites lost pets and owners and ensures the safety and welfare of the community and animals through appropriate law enforcement and education. 

Volunteer and care for the homeless animals at the shelter by becoming a dog walker. Help the dogs become more socialized, become better walkers, and ultimately provide love and companionship before finding their future homes.

Cleveland Kids Book Bank works to foster improved literacy and a love of reading by providing free books to children in need 

Impact the community by helping provide books to low-income families. Re-stock the book-sharing kiosks called little free libraries throughout Cleveland neighborhoods, help sort books so that they may be placed in the hands of children that need them, or help deliver a box of books to the Kids Book Bank’s partner organizations.

Youth Unlimited Opportunities  helps thousands of youth in Cuyahoga County. Y.O.U. empowers youth to succeed in school, in the workplace, and in life. Y.O.U. is a youth workforce development non-profit organization based in Cleveland, Ohio that provides workforce preparation, job placement, and youth development programs to youth ages 14-19 who come from families at or below poverty and live in Cuyahoga County.

Greater Cleveland Food Bank is the largest hunger relief organization in Northeast Ohio, having made possible over 55 million meals in 2017 to hungry people in Cuyahoga, Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake, Ashland and Richland counties. The Food Bank’s mission is to ensure that everyone in our communities has the nutritious food they need every day. 

Impact a life by volunteering to repackage incoming donations or prepare hot meals and bagged lunches that are distributed at hot meal sites and youth centers.

Cuyahoga Division of Children & Family Services’s mission is to assure that children at risk of abuse and neglect are protected and nurtured within a family and with the support of the community. We value safety, permanency and well-being of children, urgency, family connections, youth voice, strong partnerships, inclusion, and respect for each other.

Make a child’s holiday bright and merry through volunteering to set-up various stations for the holiday program and then help with clean-up after the event ends. Provide support to young adults who leave foster care by becoming a young adult mentor to show that they are supported and cared for.

Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank  is a nonprofit organization with a vision of a thriving community free of hunger. This year, 1 in 7 people in Northeast Ohio will face hunger, and the Foodbank will be there to help. The Foodbank is the souce of emergency food for nearly 500 food pantries, hot meal sites, shelters and other hunger-relief programs that directly serve individuals and families in Carroll, Holmes, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit, Tuscarawas and Wayne Counties.

FrontLine Service provides mental health and supportive services to more than 30,000 adults and children each year. FrontLine Service administers services to some of the most vulnerable members of our community: homeless, severely mentally disabled, those in psychiatric crisis, and adults and children who have been traumatized by violence in their home or community.

Provide support by assisting the Intake & Assessment staff with individual and family needs, or provide online emotional support to individuals depressed or in despair.

Prayers from Maria Foundation funds global research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and cure for the deadliest childhood brain tumors known as gliomas; raising public awareness about gliomas and bringing hope to children and their families who deal with the hardships of this disease.

Share awareness and sell merchandise at Maria’s Field of Hope sunflower field this fall or set-up, clean-up, and bartend at the Sunflower Wine Festival in July.

Providence House protects at-risk children and supports families through crisis, strengthening communities to end child abuse and neglect. Providence House depends upon their volunteers to support the children, events, and an array of projects and services throughout the year.
