Business Volunteers Unlimited is pleased to announce a Data Analytics Consultant Fellows Opportunity with The Cleveland Museum of Natural History

Image result for cleveland museum of natural history logo Cleveland Museum of Natural History is seeking an experienced data analytics consultant fellow to assist the Office of Philanthropy to analyze data and identify statistically significant patterns that generate actionable insights. The fellow will design and build data visualizations using diverse data sets and be instrumental in developing and translating analysis and data modeling.

The Cleveland Museum of Natural History (CMNH, founded in 1920, is located in the heart of University Circle, five miles east of downtown Cleveland, Ohio. Considered among the top 10 institutions of its kind in North America, the Museum offers an incredible visitor experience, attracting roughly 275,000 visitors a year. There are more than 140 public education programs and over 80,000 students served annually. The Museum employs approximately 160 people.

 

Fellow role will include:

  • analyzing the museum’s donor and fundraising data to support strategic fundraising.
  • develop trend analysis reports that monitor key performance indicators and compares them to internal and external benchmarks.
  • examine report results with a focus on explaining changes, inconsistencies, and any patterns that are identified.
  • creation of 3-5 sample donor profiled, based on consistent data
  • 5-year analysis of key performance indicators
  • benchmarking the museum’s donor profiles and KPI’s again peer institution
  • assisting with the execution of the communications plan

 

Term: 600 hours over a 4-month period (June 2019 – September 2019)

Location: 1 Wade Oval Drive, Cleveland, OH 44106

Stipend: $12,000

 

The ideal candidate will have significant professional experience in analysis, statistics, quantitative analysis or statistical modeling and an understanding of development operations. Experience in the nonprofit sector is a plus.
