Business Volunteers Unlimited has an immediate opening for:
Part-Time Bookkeeper (15+ hours a week)
Working under direction of the Vice President, Administration, the Bookkeeper is responsible for operations and maintenance of the general ledger. Working with QuickBooks online, the responsibilities include; processing and payments of invoices, performing bank deposits, monthly bank reconciliations, expense coding, tracking accounts receivable, and month-end reconciliation and report generation. In addition, the bookkeeper will assist with semi-monthly payroll (ADP) as needed, sending and tracking W9’s, American express credit card reconciliation, tracking of BVU’s memberships/subscriptions, annual audit preparation, updating new hire and benefit packets, and additional administrative duties as requested. This position is part-time / hybrid (15 to 22 hours per week).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of QuickBooks (preferably cloud based) and Microsoft Word and Excel are required.
- Must possess a keen attention to detail and a commitment to high quality work.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and communicate in a professional manner with BVU staff, funders and vendors.
